Pronto Pup is a super fun stop on the Oregon Coast, with good prices, classic corn dogs, and a giant corn dog you can actually ride. Of course, I had to get a photo!

Rockaway Beach is the birthplace of Pronto Pup, whose history goes back to the early days of corn dogs. That makes this stop a little more interesting than your average roadside corn dog stand.
What to eat
The original corn dogs are all beef and exactly what you’d expect from a basic corn dog stand. They also have cheese “dogs” and pickle “dogs” if you want to try something different.

Save room for a fried Oreo, too—it’s a delicious dessert and a good way to finish your stop.

Prices and seating
We thought the prices were good. During our visit, the menu listed the Original Pup at $4, the Kiddie Pup at $2, and the cheese and pickle pups at $3 each. There are picnic tables outside where you can sit and eat.

Our take
A fun, affordable stop while exploring Rockaway Beach. Grab a corn dog, try a fried Oreo, and leave a few minutes for a photo on the giant corn dog!
